The Nanhai Land Art Festival in Guangdong Province has once again been nominated as a humanistic city in Sanlian!

Recently, the Nanhai Land Art Festival in Guangdong Province was once again selected for the list of humanistic cities in Sanlian, joining 187 projects across the country as a new aspiration for urban humanistic development! In this selection, the Guangdong Nanhai Land Art Festival was shortlisted for the "Eco-friendly Award". This award aims to recognize large-scale construction activities that have inspiring significance for residents' common life, including community space creation, community environmental governance, and Du Qun operation and other community practices.

The third Sanlian Humanistic City Award, with the theme of "Story Theater", hopes to find new answers. Starting from May this year, 64 representatives from fields such as architecture, design, art and media gathered to nominate for five sub-awards including the Public Space Award, the Architectural Contribution Award, the Community Building Award, the Eco-friendly Award and the Urban Innovation Award. The Beijing Dongfang Notary Office was responsible for the statistics and review of the ballots, and a total of 187 valid nominated projects were counted.

Sustainability is the barometer of future cities, and more and more organizations and brands are putting it into practice in various forms. As one of them, the Guangdong Nanhai Land Art Festival has always been held on site since its preparation. Now, it has entered its fourth year of continuous local growth.
Flood irrigation style urban construction is no longer the mainstream. A new era of refinement and micro-updating is approaching. This year's nominated projects have also undergone a certain shift - they are more focused on micro-updates rather than large-scale construction. It pays more attention to how people and space can establish a continuous connection rather than the "check-in" or "disposable" experience. The five sub-awards seek solutions to humanistic cities from five dimensions: people and places, people and architecture, people and communities, people and nature, and people and urban vitality. The ideal space is never merely a roof that shelters from wind and rain, nor is it merely a facade that showcases design. From physical containers to containers of life and stages of stories, cities have never existed in isolation. Every person walking within them is the protagonist who interprets the stories of the city.
